An electrical estimate is usually priced per point (sockets, switches, luminaires) and per metre of cable — this form combines both principles in one document with materials and labour split.
Typical line items
- distribution board assembly and breakers;
- cable runs by circuit group — in metres;
- chasing and making good, or trunking;
- socket and switch installation — per point;
- luminaire installation and connection;
- earthing and bonding;
- testing and handover documentation.
Define clearly what a "point" includes, keep testing as a separate line, and detail bathroom and kitchen circuits — the most expensive points live there.
