An estimate template in Word is the right choice when the estimate has to be printed, signed or attached to a contract. The document is A4 with a ready table and a summary block.
⬇️ Download the template (.docx) 📐 Or fill it in online → PDF
Note: the downloadable file is in Latvian and Russian only; the online generator works in English too.
What the document contains
- a heading with the estimate number and contractor / client detail blocks;
- a site line with the date and validity period;
- a work table split into sections with example lines;
- summary rows: direct costs, overheads, profit, net total, 21% VAT, grand total;
- notes referencing LBN 501-17 and the construction reverse charge, plus signature lines.
The estimate as a contract annex
On its own an estimate is a calculation, not a binding document. It becomes binding as an annex to the contract: the contract refers to it, both parties sign it, and later scope changes go into a separate addendum. That is why the Word version has signature lines. For many line items that will still change, the Excel template with formulas is easier.
